This interconnecting set of rooms (see the floor plan at http://pl.an/zof4by) comprises: a bathroom (toilet and shower) located in what was originally our house’s ‘light well’ (a shaft extending from the roof of the house through all its floors); a bedroom; and a sitting room.
All four windows overlook the garden of the Academy of Arts, and so receive the morning light.
The ‘Dutch stove’ is a handsome dark-green tiled stove of the kind that was used for heating all rooms in the house in the 19th century and probably during most of the first half of the 20th as well.
Some of the furniture in this set of rooms is in a more provincial or rustic style, including our striking ‘Malevich’ dresser.
The nightly rate is 110 euros (including breakfast, free Wi-fi connection, and unlimited tea and coffee).
